Gold Coast as I remember

Back to reality this week for Fariz and myself *yawns*

Needless to say, I am feeling far too lackadaisical at the moment (post vacation blues) but have finally mustered up sufficient self-motivation to start writing again yay!

and to answer your question..yes of course, Gold Coast was awesomazing! can’t really put my finger on why, coz Australia is nothing like the wicked old London or the charming lil streets of Paris (not that I expected/hoped it to be) but the whole trip was what I call a success.

Put holiday and Fariz together, what could possibly go so wrong? although what we really did was all the quintessential tourist-y thing, I had so much fun mainly from discovering that Fariz made the most perfect travel slave companion for me! (was a little apprehensive before the trip coz he wasn't being very helpful with the preparation though he is now forgiven hehe :))

but you know.. although I do wish I have the right amount of energy to string long coherent sentences, I just don't and honestly words alone cannot depict how exquisite and accomplished our honeymoon escapade was. but I'll still try and shall mask the ineptitude with lots of colorful photos ok?

here goes...

Day 1
Departure and flight was pretty much a ho-hum. and we arrived to a not-so-great weather coz it rained and I was too ugly for photos, so no piccies for then! we hopped on a car which was sweet coz it could fit all of our luggage in and off to Surfers Paradise we go! Roamed around for a bit looking for kebabs to feed our growling stomachs and finally managed to check-in at Holiday Inn 2 hours earlier than we're meant to.

me warming up and performing my latest craze: jumping on hotel beds. we had two beds, one for in case I suddenly decided to merajuk ;p

our room overlooking apartments and the breathtaking beach although am afraid this picture here doesn't really do justice!
*blame Fariz's lousy photography skills*

If I lived there I think I would just sit and gaze out of the window all day!
Things to see/ places to go to but we didn't:
1. Haunted House- because I have such a strong aversion to all thing ghosty *shudders*

2. Ripley's Believe It or Not- useless facts that are so not worth my time and money (been to the one in London, so I know)

then for a casual dining at the heart of rock N roll :)
Fariz's Hard Rock Hurricane :

and my chocolate ice-cream shake: it was too yums I almost didn't want to drink it

delish and FREE fish and chips coz we had to wait for it longer than we should. owh Camila (the lady that served us) you're so sweet!

actually we're ok but don't mind saving ourselves AUD25 of course!

and we get to take our tall glasses home :)))))) how I love FREEbies!
time seemed to past so fast. needless to say cos it's winter, the day turned dark by 5pm :(

dropped by at the Coles for some dessert. Was actually looking for strawberry trifle and nice australian yogurt but didn't find any hmmmph...

so we settled with junkies :

Forced Fariz to use the self-check out machine which he didn't know how to and went jakun HAHAHAHA

Anyway, one of the drawbacks of going on a honeymoon is that you're on your own and won't get to take many couple photos T_T

So, back in the hotel room we took advantage of the mirrors again. Scolded Fariz because the pictures of me that he took weren't nice so he humored me by slaving himself as my photographer...
aaaahhhh things men will do for love :)

"I look fat! take again!" repeated God-knows how many thousand times a day -_-
as a result we ended up with 2,024 piccies in the span of 5 days *wipes sweat*

if only the camera could talk, I think it'll scream!

taught him that the safest way not to look ugly in photos is by hiding your face behind the camera..

or under the blanket because it was time to hit bed anyway...

So uneventful day 1 simply ended like this: A good night cuddle and sleep :)

to be continued.....
